Sadly apple decided they had to Kill the old venerable Power processors completely :/

Beleve it or not I Beleive that MacBook has two years on the On the PowerBook ( I bought it used initially and carried it for a close)

I had one of the First MacBooks as well and I hated it! It was full of Macish (Is that a word ?) goodness but the hardware just felt cheep. I traded it in on a Dime Store acer with Ubuntu

My nest laptop when the current Asus dies will be a HP probook 4530 (I understand that Lion Installs and runs on it perfectly :) )

I am! Ironically, its wi-fi DOES still work, but it only goes up to Tiger, so for the trip I packed the other laptop I had, a first-year MacBook (I think it's a year newer than that PowerBook. It does have Leopard on it, but it's on its last legs - wifi and disk drive are out and hard drive is limping along). Beginning to wish I'd brought the PowerBook instead. :) It's currently at Tawy for guests to use. We are getting a lot of excellent use out of it.
